greatest comedy of the 80s
quayle-17 April 2006
This was one of the greatest comedy in all of the 80s. At a time when many 'comedians' could offer nothing more than to bash the homeless and other already oppressed peoples, Bobcat had the guts to challenge the pillars of state and church. It was refreshing to see a comedian during that dark era use material that included the most corrupt president in history (prior to W. Bush of course), Sylvester Stallone, Rev. Jimmy Swaggart (prior to the moral-crusader's legendary sex scandals), censorship, music warning labels, and the war on drugs. But it was not strictly the subject matter that makes this worthwhile. The humor and delivery show Bobcat at his best. He did comedy in a way that would make pioneers Lenny Bruce and George Carlin proud. Rev. Bookburn, Radio Volta, Philadelphia

a true classic stand up routine

it's a shame that this has never come out on DVD because along with some lenny bruce, richard pryor, rodney dangerfield, and george carlin, this is one of the classics ... bobcat was just amazing in this hour....i nearly passed out i was laughing so hard when watching this with a good buddy of mine in '87 ... he wasn't too far behind me either ... it was a stunning and original comedic accomplishments ever committed to video or audio ... bobcat's wild visual and his incendiary delivery make for a true classic ...

a couple other classic bobcat efforts are 'Shakes the Clown' ('the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies') and most recently 'World's Greatest Dad' which he wrote and directed and stars Robin Williams, am amazing black comedy if you can find 'warmth' tho, you're in for a treat .. .well worth the effort to track down
