Storyline
Plot Summary |
Grace McKenzie's life has changed drastically after a car accident killed her husband and crippled her daughter. Already a deacon, Grace decides to further her career in the church and becomes a priest. But then her daughter, disappears. Unhappy as she was, it looks like she ran away. Six weeks later, a man suddenly is sitting in Grace's car. He says he knows where her daughter is currently residing and is willing to take her there for a large fee. He brings her to a remote location near the Mexican border, where a group of religious people are hoping for another wonder. The leader of the group, father Angel, seems to have great powers. He is in possession of a wooden Jesus figure on a cross that sheds real blood from his wounds in the head after Angel's prayers. But a group of criminals steal the cross and all the money intended for the construction of a church. Hoping to take her daughter back home as soon as possible, Grace decides to help father Angel. He claims there is another Jesus figure of the same type kept in Nogales, Mexico. Written by Arnoud Tiele (imdb@tiele.nl) |
