- The female CHP officers - unlike the male officers - do not wear the white undershirts under their uniform shirts (like they would in real life) leaving them clearly bare chested. Though the uniform is buttoned up enough not to reveal cleavage, it is an obvious attempt at sexualising the roles played by female cast members which may be frowned upon today.
- Ponch comments on women's bare feet on more than one occasion (including on those of fellow female officers) which may be seen as a 'fetish' for such things.
