This sequel picks up immediately where the original left off, but Bo Svensson is no Joe Don Baker in the acting department. And the film plays like the pure fiction it most likely was, feeling at times like a TV movie -- and notwithstanding the talented Noah Beery Jr. returning as Carl Pusser, Buford's dad. (Beery is perhaps better known as Jim Rockford's dad, a role he no doubt won due to this role.)
