Seacrest 'Not Engaged' But 'Very Happy'

30 December 2010 10:56 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has once again dismissed reports he's planning to wed Julianne Hough in the New Year - insisting he hasn't proposed to the dancer-turned-singer.

Country music star Hough has been dating Seacrest since earlier this year tabloids are keen to marry the hot new couple off.

Recent reports suggested Seacrest proposed to the Burlesque star during a romantic trip to Paris over Thanksgiving. The couple dismissed the speculation - but now the media has hinted the pair will ring in 2011 with big news and a ring.

Seacrest, who is hosting annual New Year's Eve TV festivities in New York, appeared on U.S. breakfast programme Good Morning America on Thursday to set the record straight - insisting he's not ready to take their relationship to the next level - yet.

He said, "I'm not engaged - but I'm very happy." »

Appearing this morning on ABC's Good Morning America, Christine O'Donnell flatly denied any misuse of campaign funds in her Senate campaign, and suggested reports of a federal criminal investigation could easily be tied to Delaware's most powerful politician, Vice President Joe Biden. O'Donnell described the reports as part of a "thug politic tactic," promising she'd be cleared of any criminal charges. »

Stranded! Stuck Six Hours On The A-Train, And Other Tales Of Blizzard Woe

27 December 2010 5:59 AM, PST | Mediaite - TV | See recent Mediaite - TV news »

On ABC's Good Morning America, the anchors--forced into an icy, deserted Times Square by heartless Gma producers--offered stories of people who had it even worse than they did, like the 60 people who spent the night in their cars on a snow-covered highway in New Jersey, or the folks stuck on an A train for six hours, which is about five hours and 45 minutes longer than you'd ever want to be on that train. No heat, no access to a bathroom, and no idea when they'll get rescued. (And for a topper, according to ABC station Wabc, some of the people stranded were riding the subway from the airport, which was a blizzardisaster, of course) »

If a video posted to Vimeo is to be believed, there are some insiders at ABC News who don't really care very much for newly-named boss Ben Sherwood, described in the video as "the Draco Malfoy of Broadcast News." The video--essentially a copy of Sherwood's speech to ABC News staff upon his announcement as the replacement for David Westin--comes complete with withering commentary coming in the form of titles superimposed on the screen, such as noting that under Sherwood's tenure at Good Morning America, the show "lost a million viewers." »

After Denial, Intelligence Official Now Admits He Was In The Dark On Key Terror Arrests

22 December 2010 7:38 AM, PST | Mediaite - TV | See recent Mediaite - TV news »

Oh, my. The nation's Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, now admits he knew nothing about the key arrests in London of 12 suspects in a sweeping terror investigation when he sat down to talk about the nation's anti-terror defenses with ABC's Diane Sawyer. In a cringeworthy performance, Sawyer asked Clapper what he knew about possible ties between the London arrests and any potential threat on the U.S. homeland. Clapper, who sat silent and obviously confused by the question, ultimately told Sawyer he didn't even know as much about the arrests as anybody who'd watched Good Morning America that day. »

Gen. James Clapper is the guy who's tasked with coordinating everything the nation knows about terrorism and national security. So it's perhaps somewhat less than comforting to watch Diane Sawyer's revealing interview with our nation's top terror team and see Clapper appear to know less about the arrests of 12 people in London as part of a potential holiday terror plot than anybody who, say, watched Good Morning America that day as they got the kids ready for school. »

Bristol Palin Has A New Man & Wants Another Baby In 2011! Sarah’s Not Happy & We Can’t Blame Her!

While most people’s New Year’s resolutions usually include shedding a few pounds or quitting smoking, Bristol Palin reportedly has an entirely different plan for 2011–you think she’d feel burned but she apparently wants another baby with her new boyfriend, asap!

Is Bristol Palin the Lindsay Lohan of young pregnancy? ie she just doesn’t learn from her mistakes. It seems that the Dwts finalist Bristol Palin, 20, sure has been busy. Since making it to the reality show’s finale on Nov 23rd,  she’s been dating 20-year-old Alaska pipeline worker Giancinto “Gino” Paoletti , reports the National Enquirer.

What’s even more surprising than Sarah Palin’s daughter having a new love interest , is that the extremely vocal abstinence spokesperson, has recently changed her rhetoric when it comes to premarital sex. “Pause before you play,” Bristol now says in a teen-pregnancy advertisement that first aired in April.
