Takes you back in time

Obviously Dumas' novel in which this picture is inspired, is one of all times greats. If we add the magnificence of the surroundings in the picture, we have a great movie. The story takes place in the Mexico City of the beginning of the 20th century. These were the pre-revolutionary times when a few people lived a life of luxury and a vast majority simply, survived. A Captain falls in love with a beautiful woman without knowing that she is the mistress of his best friend. Honor in those times was still the greatest asset one could have, so when they find out about the love triangle they are in, they go into a duel to save their honor. But really, the best of this movie is to see how these people lived, the unbelievable houses they had, and how they had, practically, unlimited monetary means to do it.
