A sheriff is removed from office by the influence of thieves. After this humiliation, the hero is requested to leave town but refuses to do so. He is captured and taken to the dive of the robbers while the girl rides for help. He saves himself before help arrives, and aids in the attack and round up of the bad men. He is restored to office and his removal explained as a trick to capture the thieves.
