Hugh Grant regrets making 20th Century Fox movie Nine Months in 1995 because the studio is owned by embattled News of the World boss Rupert Murdoch.
The actor helped expose the British tabloid's phone hacking scandal after interviewing a boastful reporter and writing an article for the New Statesman magazine based on the encounter.
And in the wake of the controversy, which forced the media tycoon to shut the down the hugely successful Sunday newspaper after 168 years, Grant admits he hates the fact he has a Fox credit on his resume.
He tells Entertainment Weekly, "It would certainly stick in my craw to work for Fox. I did make one film for them 16 years ago but I was naive then. I didn't even know who owned it (studio)."
And he couldn't care less if the studio's executives blacklisted him for his attacks on Murdoch and the mogul's News Corporation empire: "It doesn't bother me at all... I'm not wildly ambitious to make lots of films at the moment anyway."...
