I saw the Bell Science Series as a child on TV and loved all of them. The idea of making science fun and entertaining for kids still rather novel back then, and they pulled it off really well. I'm guessing the mixture of animation and live action was also pretty innovative at that time.
I feel sorry for the reviewer who ranted at great length about this film because it contained some religious elements and supposedly (not really specified) incorrect scientific information. Seems to me that many "progressives" are constantly angry and spiteful toward anyone who doesn't share their views. I would hate to go through life like that. Imagine getting all worked up over something as quaint, innocent and well meaning as "Our Mr. Sun".
