Warning: Spoilers
The film opens in Hong Kong as Mrs Lee and her grandson Tom are attacked by Loo, but are saved to go and hide in San Francisco as Tom Lee is now 15 years old and discovers he has powers when attacked by a bully. This attracts the evil Loo. Mrs. Lee is the guardian of the Phoenix stone which is powerful and used to create the universe or at least this world. Tom is in a long line of guardians but doesn't know it until too late. He is trained by Hu, the tiger. In Chinese Hu is a word that captures the spirit of the Tiger. Hu is part of the Zodiac, a group of 12 talking Chinese animals who symbolize my Panda Gardens placemat. Loo wants the stone so she can recreate the world without any humans, which is considered a bad thing.

The production had some great color but was weak on characters and their development. The dialogue was soft. It was nice to see lots of violence returning to a kid's cartoon. The film included the voices of Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, and Michelle Yeoh. While I have seen the other stars in other films, those were the only name that stood out.
