Alice is extremely manipulative, weird and abusive. I dont see what Jack sees in her but attraction is certainly a personal experience.
Who in their right mind wants an ex to attend their wedding (unless children are involved I suppose) and even worse "give them away". Is she insane. Her parents really royally messed her up!!!
In some ways Alice has compromised Jack's relationship with his daughter. If he were in Celia's life daily they would have a much better relationship. But he chose to worship this psychotic woman.
