This is a somber crime drama about a cop who investigates a death of an estate agent. This leads to a cover up and a big conspiracy involving drugs and money laundering. It's rather obvious the shifty looking ones are the good guys and the decent looking folks are the criminals. It's quite watchable but the tone is monotonous and the ending predictable.
JT looks more mature but his voice is still youthful and he lacks enough intensity to be menacing.
Always liked Alicia Silverstone and she can do serious roles. Sometimes the young sweetness comes through.
There are some things that I did not get. Like why Benicio was hostile to the contractor.
The ending was rushed. Why not show what happened to JT properly? And how he killed Summer was glossed over too quickly. What happened to Eli?
