Season 1, Episode 3
2/10

The opening scene is pretty cringe and very current-day, but I'll give it credit for setting the time period in a creative way. Even the transition after the credits was well done.

Echo's powers are so silly. I think they're going for a Doctor Strange psychedelic vibe with them, but it comes across more like a commercial for a skin care product. It's not very clear what they are or what her understanding of them is. They just kind of randomly manifest in different ways as needed.

The signing is starting to get pretty annoying, but then again so is the verbal communication. The characters are cartoonish when they're not cookie cutter cliches. I'm not sure how much more of this show I can watch, even for the lulz. There's so much filler and so many long drawn out sequences without any payoff, and the music is beyond awful until Rob Zombie does some heavy lifting.

Her powers get even dumber as the episode progresses. It would be cool if she had more than 1 facial expression.
