What I see here is a production that was thrown together haphazardly. You have a writer who pens a decent script, add a few actors who are semi-talented, and just let the chips fall? This is not how you construct a good film. First of all this is lacking in direction and focus. Anyone could make a film like this, if you give them a budget, and some actors and some decent crew; it will build itself into a workable piece of entertainment. But without a vision and good direction, you end up with this particular end product. Once again, a film featuring our lead actress ends up looking like a juvenile mess. I don't know if she had a say in it or not, but there was a trend with her roles in the Hallmark universe and most of them missed the mark.
This feels like a 5/10 but I really like the lead actors, so I'll be lenient. I'd watch this if I had no other options.
