Theres a scene towards the end where the mom gets helped by the town and she goes "i didnt know the town liked me that much".

Acting is bad, writing is bad, directing sucks, theres a royalty free song they play TWICE to fully milk the free usage out of it. The town is supposed to be memorable but its mostly consisting of legit mean people or inconsolable grieving people that air out their dirty laundry to literally anyone. And its a movie about a painter that is makes that plotline, like, the b plot.
