This film is a valiant attempt at making a feature film by what must have been a group of A-Level media studies students with a modest budget from central government in China.
Previous IP man's movies were of course, a feast of Propaganda but other qualities such as the fight choreography carried them through. Not this one unfortunately.
IP man in his previous forms has been a great hero of the people against the (predictable) foes but this one never fails to disappoint.
Cinematic effects not seen since 1980's Bollywood are heavily employed and the sound is all over the place. You will never get those minutes back. Steer clear.
