Fear the Walking Dead: This Land Is Your Land (2017)
Season 3, Episode 13

Fear TWD, the Ottos, and the show's writing over time
2 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I just don't like that Troy and Nick were shown driving with (half-dead) Jake back to the ranch and they weren't blasting music or laying on the horn in attempts to draw the horde away from the ranch. Or the fact that Jeremiah was such a "prepper" yet once he figured out it was a zombie apocalypse and that the dead were drawn to sound, hadn't installed some sort of emergency siren system outside of the ranch to activate in the event that a horde did approach.

This being said: Seasons 1-3 of Fear The Walking Dead were SOOO MUCH BETTER than seasons 1-3 of The Walking Dead by miles. The Walking Dead's first few seasons were so slow and boring in comparison. The writing for seasons 1-3 of Fear was far superior. Season 4 with Al "chasing the story" is when the show took a real dive unfortunately, and it took another with the cast "chasing people to help," and it's final and ultimate nail in the coffin came with the nuclear launch storyline. Eeeek. I could've written better fiction for these characters than this fluff and unbelievable nonsense.
