Writer/director Harold Ramos took his cast and crew on a real vacation with "Club Paradise". The overall result is an okay movie. The cast is very likeable even though a few of them rarely seem sober; Peter O'Toole, Jimmy Cliff, Adolph Caesar to name a few. Although the script seems to have been written on the fly, there are more then a handful of laughs in "Club Paradise". Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin get most of them. The movie looks great and the music is good. It's just that with all of the talent involved, "Club Paradise" should have been a lot better. As it is, it's an okay watch for a rainy afternoon.
