Great watch for a quick laugh

Warning: Spoilers
I went in hesitantly because of the critical reviews, but I was pleasently surprised and quite impressed by Monday Monday!

The first episode was certainly a bit chaotic and silly, for lack of a better word, and I found some of the characters a bit unlikable, but it got better and better!

This miniseries has light humour and some slapstick elements, but that doesn't mean you won't chuckle or even laugh out loud a few times. The whole thing is very British with its dry humour and nuanced delivery.

I loved the characters of Sally and Christine, they felt the most fleshed out to me from the beginning. Tom Ellis as Steven was great too and even though the whole love triangle situation between him him, Alyson and Sally seemed bothersome and clichéd in the beginning, it turmed out far more interesting and reasonable than I expected.

Actually the "romantic" component of the drama was one of the things I thoroughly enjoyed - it wasn't super heavy, progressed naturally with humorous elements and didn't take away from the other characters, all of which felt quite human by the end.

On that note, one thing I would have liked to see in episode three was Natasha playing tennis against her brother in the charity event. Would have been fun in my opinion and an opportunity for reconciliation between the two of them.

While of course I'd love to know how things are going to continue with Alyson's pregnancy, I know there won't realistically be a continuation. Having said that, I am pretty happy with the ending and think it works as a conclusion. I'm not sure if another season or two would be able to hold the quality of the first one, especially with a relatively small main cast like this one.

Tldr; I liked this series quite a bit and think it's great for a few fun hours of light entertainment.
