The first time I watched this series was way back in 2011 with the release of Clash of the Red Rangers.
To be honest this is and should be the original Power Rangers. It's my all time favorite Power Rangers show, infact it is the fourth one I ever watched as a kid and I still remember every scenes in every episodes which were perfectly executed.
The one thing that makes Samurai and Super Samurai a unique version to the Power Rangers Series is the fact that the Rangers use katanas instead of the regularly used blaster guns in other shows.
This Particular Power Rangers show is the only one to follow and respect the Japanese Anime such as Demon Slayer, Hunter X Hunter, and so on.....
The only thing I didn't like was the fact of keeping Lauren as an extra ranger. Well, I don't mind it because she is part of the main storyline, but the female Red Ranger didn't fit quite well. But still, it was executed properly which I love.
One of the main reasons which made me stop watching the other shows is the weaponry of used by the rangers. Almost Every new show featured guns, energy cannons, or blasters, but not Samurai!!!
Yeah Samurai eventually featured blasters, but atleast the blasters weren't the main weaponry even though we did get to see the Samurai Rangers use blasters but they used it only while in Zords or the Blaster which Cody made and gifted to the Rangers in Episode 12 in the Super Samurai (Season 2) of the Power Rangers Samurai.
Power Rangers Samurai is not just a Series or a Show or a Masterpiece for me, its a Nostalgia for me because even though it's been over a decade since I started watching this series I still remember all the scenes. And to top that all of I watched the entire series all over again to relive the Nostalgia these past couple days and I gotta say I might be one of the very few people to say this that, "I loved Samurai back then - there is no doubt I love it now"
