This strikes me as three aging women who are overacting. Some of the jokes are lazy and not funny. (i.e. Insults about the complaining neighbor after he died.) And the masturbation scene? I don't recall The Golden Girls ever going there. Perhaps that would have worked better after the personalities of the roommates had been better established, but right off the bat? It sets a tone that will turn off some viewers.
Some of the exchanges seem crass and born of ignorance. Act Your Age needs to figure out what audience it wants to play to: This seems aimed at the Maury Povich crowd.
The actors are first-rate, and the show has good bones. Please stop covering them inconsistently with unattractive parts.
