This is a good story. I remember watching it when it first came out and seeing the tragedy of the story.
Now living in Lancaster County I can hardly stand the watch it. The wardrobe is completely inaccurate. The women and girls have black aprons over their dresses (except white for church), their bonnet strings should be much longer, etc. Amish men do not wear three piece suits. Just the coat and pants. And their beards are far to neatly trimmed. Their buggies are incorrect as well. It pains me to see how badly they designed things. If they had put more effort into correctly portraying the Amish, this movie would be ten times better.
