In 2023 you'd expect writers to be more knowledgeable on the topic of IT and software engineering. Yet, once again, I am watching a show full of nonsense on this topic. Since when can you put a 'poison pill inside data' and then 'automatically track the perpetrator' who downloaded the data? Is it really realistic a keyboard spoofer (USB stick) is sewn into a handbag without people noticing? Can you really 'fake a white-list' by manipulating the data? You can't rewrite the software itself that outputs the log data (not feasibly at least) so the white list data would have to be edited after it has been output, every time.
I just hate it when writers make up stuff to advance the plot. Why don' writers hire an SME? Thumbs down.
