This is clearly one of the worst screenplays I have ever seen. Very little in this film makes sense: scrupulous but abused guys who follow their fragile super-old abuser "father" blindly (instead of killing him), Sydelle who does not find the kids footprints in the snow, the three who surrender their weapons to the protagonist, Clair/Carano who does not shoot the three dead (in order to give them another chance to pursue her and her kid), ...
And even if you were prepared to switch off the brain, there is no action to enjoy, because the fighting scenes are incredibly bad. Just take Clair against Sydelle with the kid stumbling into the middle. That scene was probably designed for a comedy.
Let's face it Carano is not really an actress, but she was at some stage a fighter, so the only way forward is for her to impress with fighting scenes and put in professional actors for the rest. Director, scriptwriter and producer failed to get even that right.
