I'm surprised to see Adrien Brody starring in such an obviously cheap and derivative movie as you'd think he was above that, but that really shows you the perilous state of modern cinema. This film is essentially a remake of TAXI DRIVER updated to modern times, with Brody playing a tough guy binman (!) who befriends a young woman with a drug problem. Soon he's taking after the drug gangs, but any satisfying catharsis or shocking violence is negated by appalling camerawork that constantly shoots dramatic set-pieces with poor to zero lighting so none of the hammer work makes an impact. What a pity!
