Archaeologist Bernard Thornton (Arthur Dignam) uncovers an ancient aboriginal tomb on an island. Soon thereafter, he experiences disturbing visions of a massacre committed by savage whalers. Thornton's daughter (Penny Cook) becomes involved when she begins having similar visions.
This all leads to a tense and gory climax, where the secrets are revealed.
