The Avengers was one of the best and most popular series of the 60s. Here the production wanted Batman to have an adventure very much in the style of the British series and for the first and only time moved the action from Gotham City to another place. Scotland Yard is disoriented by a wave of jewel thefts and sends for Batman and Robin to solve the mysterious case. This is how they move to Londinium. Once in the place they focus their suspicions on Lord Fogg and his sister Lady Penelope who run a school for young ladies in their imposing castle.
