On one level this is a sound movie, albeit highly derivative, that deserves to succeed. On the other, one just wished the 'marbles' had been swept off the track of a production that could have been even better but for some ropey scripting and potholes in the detail. And the drone captured interludes were overdone.
As responsible parents of 10-15 year olds would know, finding suitable movies is a tricky business. Pixar is passe, but beyond that is a slippery slope. Go! Does well to connect with younger teens and parents alike. Obtaining the services of the brilliant Richard Roxburgh and Frances O'Connor holds the movie together.
