Despite its problems, it is a cute movie. As its flaws, I shall mention the bad development of the characters based in Nicaragua (Rosario, for instance), the very cheesy elements and excess of clichés. The main character, Paca, however, is an interesting one: quite strong, cheeky and determined. Her friend Emilia and her mother Juana are also very good characters, each one well acted and with remarkable personalities. Arrogant selfish womanizer drunkard Rubén Darío is very hard to have empathy for, but he is a well developed character and the actor also does a good job here anyway. While mostly predictable, the film is also moving, particularly in its final part.
