Finally the characters are coming together. There is an emotional motive of an episode. The laughing track may not be the best choice. But it's cool to try new stuff and stick with the one that works well. The show isn't quite as smooth or has the same pace as HIMYM, but maybe that isn't a bad thing. It might find it's own pace and character development. I have slight hope after this episode. The mother in the beginning of every show sitting alone on the sofa and talking slowly in a sitcom that's very time limited isn't probably the optimal way. Ignoring that fact, rest 18 minutes were pretty good.
