Even though I was bored and my every hope of a plot was squashed, I loved it for the same reasons. Even documentaries have some kind of narrative that is pushed on a viewer. Here I felt none. I don't have to be entertained to like something. Just like in real life, reasons that make something happen are hidden and left for you to guess. Young protagonist wants to escape his life and become a film director, but doesn't (know) have a story to tell. This is his story. It is a story. One of countless stories. Take it for what it is.
