Review of The Tall T

The Tall T (1957)
10/10
Great Western Classic
25 November 2021
It starts with a great opening scene with station agent Hank Parker (Fred Sherman) and his young son Jeff (Christopher Olsen). Randolph Scott gets better with age in this second of seven Scott/Boetticher collaborations. Scott then meets up with stage driver Ed Rintoon (Arthur Hunnicutt) who is driving newlyweds Willard (John Hubbard) and Doretta Mims (Maureen O'Sullivan) to their honeymoon. Richard Boone really knows how to ratchet up the action with lead flying and his band of henchmen including Henry Silva and Skip Homeier. The T is for Talent with the best actors in the business and a wonderful Burt Kennedy script.
