I don't know why this gets such bad ratings on IMDB it's really not that bad. I suspect this is a reflection on the reviewers (who struggle to relate to the issues of a young woman) rather than the show itself.
It may not always be laugh out loud funny but it's actually quite refreshing to get stand up from a young woman. Her observational humour is spot on, her comedy is irreverent, self-effacing and MODERN.
A fresh take on comedy is a positive.
Not all of the gags and sketches stick but comedy is hard, and this is real and honest. I think the first season is better than the second.
