It's kind of fun to watch 8-9 girls run around, trying to find a murderer. They bounce around a lot, but everything is completely platonic and there is no sleaze. The film is just good fun. It starts out as kind of a serious film, but when one of the 9 girls is killed, everyone starts to play "who-done-it" -- and the film turns into some comedy combined with murder-mystery. William Demerest certainly does his comedic part, well.
I just enjoyed all these beautiful women running and bouncing about throughout the story.
Even though this film was released in 1944, it kept my interest throughout. I gave the film an "8". I loved that there were beautiful girls seemingly everywhere -- some famous actresses of the time as well -- but absolutely no sex! It was very refreshing. The cars, the wardrobes, the settings -- all of 1944 -- were much appreciated compared to our 'plastic' world of today.
I think the film is definitely worth your time!
