I'd give full credits to the movie given it's period.

The script was very crisp, and never felt dragging throughout(of course, one couldn't blame for the somewhat lengthy fight sequence of those times). Apart from it, the story was very well presented and was complex enough to do a quick revision of what happened and what's going on. Overall it's a forward-looking movie that only exposes new elements as time passes.

The music is not only complementary, but despite being a police investigative movie it never makes the love awkward or enforced.

Only one 'major' negative is that the presentation of the neighboring nation. I do not argue against the depiction of anti-humanity activities across borders, but blaming it on the whole nation as state-sponsored terrorism is something I personally felt very uncomfortable with.

Despite this, I commend the presenters for keeping religion out of the whole mess, defending religion on both sides of the borders. And even depicting the menace as non-religious with perpetrators on both sides of the border.

Overall I could surely say that it's not overrated and deserve it's due recognition even in contemporary times.
