Not a bad series as these types go, but several things make it a 5 for me.
1. Overuse of sex. Give it a rest, eh?
2. Some slight underdevelopment of characters who were important to the story.
3. Tired of the industry casting the love interest of the male lead who is half his age. It's almost comical.
4. A bit too many twisted diversions that get in the way of the main story.
5. While the series tended to drag a bit in places, the ending was far too rushed.
6. Fight scenes were a joke.
It's an OK series if you're into period-piece "love stories". Writing needs to tighten up the story a bit, but casting and acting was generally good aside from the male lead being a bit flat on occasion (or was that due to botox), good camera work.
