It is episodes like this that drag this mostly good series down. What exactly is supposed to be funny about a guy having to deal with a whiny,
jealous,neurotic wife?
This needless nonsense all happens after hubby Rob puts in a full day of work,to boot.
Unfortunately,the Laura Petrie character seems to play this jealous and neurotic part far too often throughout the series,and once you notice it you cannot un-see it. I will blame it on the Laura Petrie character,as Mary Tyler Moore was not whiny like that on her later Mary Tyler Moore show. If you watch enough Dick Van Dyke episodes you will see exactly what I am saying,as Laura can get pretty hysterical and worked-up over very little,but bless her little heart anyway!
