This movie is clearly a work of love, and I wish I have liked it more.
The first half is a pretty solid family film, even if the source material merely serves as a backstory (On its favor, I must say the stop-motion sequences that adapt the passages from the book are quite beautiful, a whole movie done on its entirity with that style would have been something truly wonderful)
The second half follows a little bit more conventional pattern, a tale of heroes and villains (The original story had none of that) but it was still okay.
"The Little Prince" is a definitely a good family flick. But it could have been a masterpiece.
That being said, is a good thing Mark Osborne was allowed to make a more personal film. Hope he has the chance to participate in more projects like this on the future.
