Although, as the prosecutors said, nobody will ever know exactly what happened, a few things stand out to me: 1. DSK lacked - profoundly - the character, and esp. the judgement, that a president should have; so France was lucky this event knocked him out of contention. 2. ironically, just a few days ago, Sarkozy (French president at the time - and suspected by some of being involved somehow), was found guilty by a French court of corruption (this is now 10 years later) - so France was "unlucky" either way 3. What the prosecutor said about Diallo (" a likely con artist"), whether true or not (I can't say for sure), could certainly be said about DSK: his intelligence, charm and knowledge fooled - for many years - people around the world - including some who might have known better. In this great documentary you see and hear some very persuasive people on both sides.
