This is another poor man's "The War of the Worlds." Yes, there's even an Oglivy, ala the H. G. Wells novel. There are at least tens of thousands of actors looking for work; couldn't anyone with a smidgeon of talent sneak onto these tired, unimaginative sets?
A friend in the Arts said, "Don't copy what's been done; reply to it." This is an unintelligent copy with nothing compelling to drive the story. Why bother to show the Mars rover taking pictures of the Martian craft lifting off the red planet without delving into what could have been an interesting premise? Instead, it's nothing more than senseless destruction and Blair Witch parroting. This was free, and I still didn't get my money's worth.
