Despite the fact that I am a big fan of RD-D2, this is one of the season's weaker episodes so far. The humor seemed to be aimed more at the younger audience and the overall storyline felt very underwhelming. There were some cool action sequences, including a cool meteor tactic that I thought was very cool, but it was not enough to give the episode the adrenaline it needed. The episode is sold on the nostalgia that we as an audience has the for the character, which is reflected in Anakin's love for him too, but it is not enough for a whole episode. Compared to the previous episode, this was a huge letdown both in regard to the storyline and the character development that was almost non-existent. I remember liking it as a kid, but that has definitely changed.
