Master counterfeiter Pierre Dumont and his two henchmen murder federal treasury agent Jim Collins. Dumont assumes Collins' identity and reports that Dumont is dead, providing the real Collins'' body as evidence. The Ranger and Tonto are skeptical, especially when the phony Collins splashes sweet smelling cologne on his face, a known characteristic of Dumont. The slow witted sheriff isn't much help and it will be up to the two heroes to bring this funny money maker to justice. When The Ranger, Tonto, and the phony Collins go to the gang's hideout to round up the two henchmen, both sides have set a trap. But which will fall into the other's snare?
