I loved the idea behind the documentary, but it feels too light. Even if I love M. Freeman, maybe it's not the best option for unscripted shows.
Seeing how he travels by a private jet (and heavily damaging the environment while doing so) doesn't help to empatize with the story.
Maybe a remake with more background investigation will be promising.
