The story centers on Steve (Anthony Mackie) who is a paramedic in New Orleans. He is treating a lot of people who are victims of the new designer drug Synchronic. He buys up the drug to prevent people from taking it. Brianna (Ally Ioannides) is the daughter of his partner. She takes the drug and disappears. The creator of the drug, awkwardly hiding in Steve's closet, explains {PLOT SPOILER} that it allows you to travel in time for 7 minutes.
