I should point out if you have a 3ds, it works better. Otherwise, it's a pretty good game. The graphics are updated, the gameplay is pretty decent as you can play 3 more characters such as Yoshi, Wario and Luigi. In fact, you play as the former in the beginning.
The story's virtually the same as the original version save for a few differences. As I said before, unless you have a 3ds, the controls aren't the best. If you do, it plays pretty well. In that regard, I'd say check it out.
