Talk about character and plot overkill!

Warning: Spoilers
This film is pretty much an incomprehensible mess, where occasionally some martial arts action takes place. Between the sudden outbursts of karate we get people preparing dinner, characters with no backstory who suddenly are intricate to the plot, a moving van moving what is none of our business and a bad guy who is such a super fighter he can put a cigar out on his hand! Yes, we are in for a lot of excess, too bad it makes for such a bad film. Somewhat enjoyable to watch, but they really had too many characters for a film with so little depth.

The story, who knows what it is other than there is a nuclear device that has been stolen! Meanwhile, a news reporter suddenly gets attacked after a story by a knife wielding woman and this is not newsworthy. This reporter hates her father, but loves her sister played by Cynthia Rothrock who gets top billing, but is not in this one that much because there is also bodyguard who regrets his life decisions, goofy karate guy who is referred to as boy despite looking quite old and owning a very large house, an old master whose name sounds like Sea Food, an Asian good guy that dislikes Asian bad guy and Asian bad guy that hates Asian good guy whose story is never revealed and the father who is CIA and is working to stop Slade the bad guy it takes four of the heroes to try and beat down in an incomplete finale!

Yeah, this film has too much going on for what it is. As I said, Cynthia is the top billed person and the only person I recognize other than the bodyguard, but I only recognize him because he looks like great value Eddie Murphy. The bad guy is shown as being tough as nails and the final fight with him just ends on a head scratching moment...makes me wonder if there is a Honor and Glory 2 because it is obvious they were planning to make one.

Part of me wonders if this is a sequel to something as there are things that seem to be suggesting characters know each other from something else and that we the audience should already know what it is. The fighting is not all that good, I've seen Cynthia do a lot better as her cute, "Hi Ya!" is noticeably missing in this one and too much focus is on everybody but her, yet she is supposedly the star. Seems more like she is just kind of there. So, not as good as other films I have seen her in, worth a chuckle or two, but in the end it just kind of goes limp at the finish line.
