Bonanza: The Artist (1962)
Season 4, Episode 3

The Creative Spirit
25 August 2020
In a rather odd saloon brawl Lorne Greene makes the acqaintence of Dan O'Herlihy an artist who is now robbed of his sight due to an illness. He's now mad at the world and taking it out on those closest to him which includes his housekeeper Virginia Grey and hired man Arch Johnson.

O'Herlihy's performance is nothing short of brilliant. His scenes with Lorne Greene are really special and should have been Emmy considered.

I guess if there is a moral to this Bonanza story it is that the creative spirit cannot be stifled. If one outlet ia closed another will emerge. To see what I mean watch this episode.

And see an outstanding performance by Dan O'Herlihy.
