. . . reports THE FALCON IN HOLLYWOOD. So, what ELSE is new? Since the film industry's earliest beginnings, many if not most flicks have the financial backing of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more "producers." This documentary portrays these deluded money wasters as dim-witted souls who fork over their fortunes for 20% or 25% of a movie's profits. Studios frequently "over-sell" these pictures to the tune of 400% or 800% of gross earnings, knowing that their fiscal shenanigans will show a red ink bottom line every time. If anyone carps about subsequently taking a bath on their investment, this expose reveals, studio assassins whack them. So sad.
