I agree this is basically the same plot as a Christmas movie with Cameron Matheson and Mira Sorvino so the only thing I want to point out. The final kiss on many are obviously not so good Especially Candace Cameron Bure who makes it known she does not like kissing anyone but her husband. However in this one is if you look really close at the big kiss at the end these two are for lack of a better word swapping spit. When they kiss and separate you can see a long spit string between them and when the go back in for the peck right after you see a smaller string break. I know this sounds gross but I noticed it the first time I saw it and if you pause and take it frame by frame it's kind funny.
