Bijou (2015 Video)
Nicely done romance
8 May 2020
Jonathan Morgan provides one of his best movies in recent years in this modest romance for Wicked Pictures. Keira Nicole scores high marks as the ordinary girl who is selected for potential modeling stardom.

Interestingly, she gets poor billing in the opening credits, listed after superstar Asa Akira and hot new starlet Cassidy Banks even though these two actresses have supporting roles. But by film's end Keira has created an endearing character worth rooting for.

She's introduced as just a girl sitting in a park, who is caught by the fashion photographer (Wicked cameraman and later director Hank Hoffman, unbilled) in the background of a photo of big-name model Mia Malkova.

But French fashion magnate Kyle Stone (also unbilled) thinks Keira is just the ticket for his new campaign with her girl-next-door look. He thinks he's discovered a jewel = bijou in French.

Manipulative ad agency types including Akira, James Deen and Michael Vegas become Keira's adversaries, as the young college student is exposed to the negative side of the modeling grind and potential stardom.

A modest film (obscure, as I needed to add it to IMDb now, 5 years after release) but well worth catching.
